Matchtech are looking for 2 Lead Project Engineers to work on a project set to be awarded in the next 4 weeks. The project will be with a drilling contractor based in Aberdeen and Matchtech have been asked to assemble a project team of 21 new contractors to start and complete this long term project. The initial phase will last 6-12 months and be the detailed design. Right now our client s client will remain confidential but start dates will be mid-late September. Candidates with a drilling background will be preferred but those with a topside background will not be discounted. Experience in upgrade and modifications of drilling units would be ideal and offshore tickets essential. The project will involve some site surveys so a willingness to do RGIT would be advantageous. Successful candidate must have High School education and 10-15 years Construction experience 5 years minimum recent experience in coating inspection discipline. 3 years minimum experience in fabrication coating insulation of SURF Equipment Competencies below Evidence of training in coating inspection is required NACE Level 2 coating certification or equivalent ISO 9001 2000 Auditor Lead Auditor preferred Current NACE coating certification or equivalent preferred Main Responsibilities Coordination with the Contractor s QA QC team related to coating application Review assessment of Contractor site inspection reports Review of completed Quality Surveillance checklists and of Deficiency Reports Review of Deficiency Report and NCR close out Review of fabrication data books ensuring that the requirements of the specification are met Site inspections and verification activities in accordance with requirements of the ITP Coordinate quality activities with Construction Superintendents Performing assessments quality audits as requested by the Quality Coordinator or In-Country Fabrication Manager.
